2014 - This is the second or third time I manipulated a Adobe After Effects Template. This one was special because I had the opportunity to collaborate with our marketing director to tell the story of our school from it's inception in 1980.

2017 - This project focused largely on communicating our school's mission. I learned how to paint text on various surfaces around our campus (parking lot, baseball field, etc.) in After Effects. I used that intro sequence to tie the rest of the video together.

2013 - This project is special because of the amount of collaboration that took place to build it. I worked with an alumni to make the white board animation, our marketing director to write the script, another alumni to record the voice over, and a 3D animation studio to cut in the 3D renderings of our campus.

2016 - This was the year I was introduced to drones! I collaborated with my video production students to collect all the footage. We mastered the art of filming whip pan transitions (1:30-1:50). We collaborated with an alumni to develop the script. I worked with a 6th grade student to record the voice over.

2014 - This is my biggest YouTube hit, ha! I decided to go public with the videos I was making for 8th grade Integrated Physics and Chemistry. This one took off for some reason, probably because of all the great stories, analogies, and pictures. During this time, I used an app called Explain Everything to record all my lectures on iPad.
Occasionally, I get to exercise my artsy side by doing a wedding. It's super fun to interact with guests and figure out how to best tell the story of the couple I'm working with. Jessica and David's wedding was characterized by sparklers, square dancing, and a deep spiritual commitment to each other.

2015-2017 - For three years, I assembled a team of students and parents that met over the summer to create video tutorials that would help our new students acclimate to a 1:1 environment with iPads. This is a sample. We use Air Server - program used to mirror iPad to a computer, Screencast-o-matic to capture the screen, and Adobe Premiere to edit. We hosted all the videos on a website www.popcshelp.org
Here's another! This song provided a number of unique editing opportunities. You can see it most at the beginning when shots snap zoom with the beat. Outside of that, you can tell that I love rack focusing. That's when it starts blurry and racks into focus.
