Faith Stories™

Driving Question:

What impact does faith have on individuals and communities?

Project Description:

Students in this project work with various age groups to produce videos the encourage people to articulate their faith. The number one reason people aren't comfortable with sharing their faith is because they haven't taken the time to articulate it. Students work in teams to organize a 30 minute shoot with a number of participants willing to share their story of faith. After filming, they analyze the video to determine what parts of it best tell the person's faith story. They analyze the person's history and the impact that faith has had on their life. Following that, they edit the video down to an artistic short-form video for distribution.

Public Audience:

During all phases of production, students meet with participants to plan, shoot, and distribute their faith story.

Students share their final edited videos with participants and their families. Those who would like their story to potentially impact a larger audience make their videos public on YouTube.

Students take part in a luncheon where they get to small talk with the participants and their families as well as watch a number of clips from various Faith Stories™.
